Located at Golden Mile Food Centre, You Fu Hokkien Prawn Noodle is run by a young hawker named Andre and his father. The stall only sells one item and people will always be queuing for it. They have since changed their signboard colour to a minimalistic black but fret not, you can definitely still spot them from long queues.

There are 3 options available – $5, $7 and $9. The $5 portion is already extremely generous. The serving includes noodles that come in a mix of yellow noodles and bee hoon, eggs, prawns, squid and pork slices. Additionally, there is a generous amount of lard and chilli served on the side.

The noodles soak up the broth and you can taste it with each bite you take. The use of thin bee hoon also helps to absorb the broth more. Try mixing the chilli in to take this dish to the next level. It’s going to be a burst of flavours!

The star of this dish is definitely the lard that comes with the noodles. It did not turn soggy despite being mixed into the wet noodles. It stays crispy and is extremely easy to bite into without being too tough.
