Nasi Lemak Specialist has been open since 2017. They have survived the pandemic and continue to thrive where many have not. What is their secret? Their food of course. Madam Mazwin does not compromise quality for anything and every dish that goes out, goes out perfect. They prepare their food as early as 5am. This attention to detail sets them apart from other Nasi Lemak establishments.

It all starts with the rice. Traditionally, Nasi Lemak is made with Jasmine or Thai Rice- perfect for absorbing the coconut flavour. However, they tend to get mushy if not cooled down. At Nasi Lemak Specialist, they use basmati rice which doesn’t absorb the coconut flavour as well, but the grains aren’t as mushy when hot. That way, you can enjoy their Nasi Lemak fresh out of the cooker without the worry of wet rice.

Their Nasi Lemak Set B ($4.00) is their most ordered version of Nasi Lemak on their menu. Although it is basic, it has all the necessary components of a good Nasi Lemak. Turmeric is a key ingredient that gives the Chicken its golden colour. The chicken itself is juicy, their homemade sambal is sweet and spicy- altogether it makes an amazing breakfast for anyone.
