This $3.50 Silky Congee Stall At Telok Blangah Drive Only Opens 2 Days A Week!

Having a breakfast craving that only congee can satisfy? You have to visit Wah Yuen Porridge! Located at Telok Blangah Drive Food Centre, this stall is known for its bowls of incredibly silky congee priced from just $3.50.

Wah Yuen Porridge Serves Amazingly Silky Congee From $3.50

With a rich legacy that dates back as far as the 1950s, the stall is a familiar name because it has made its rounds around local food courts, with former outlets in Neil Road and Amara Shopping Centre. Founded by Mr. Yip Swee Wah, this family-run business menu features his recipes, from the process of cooking the congee till silky smooth ends, to the handmade meatballs the stall is famed for.

Try the Meatball Peanut Congee ($3.50). Loaded with juicy meatballs, braised peanuts, and greens, the thick congee is easy to slurp up to satiate any comfort food cravings that you have. For the same price, you can also order their Shredded Chicken or Century Egg congee.

A crowd favourite here is their Mandarin Congee ($5.50). Peppered with chewy pieces of century egg, lean meat, meatballs, peanuts, cuttlefish, and liver, this dish is best enjoyed on rainy days.

Due to its popularity, their congee is usually sold out by 2 pm. Be sure to drop by early in the morning to avoid disappointment! Additionally, the stall is only open two days a week on Saturdays and Sundays.
