It goes without saying that the entire society is impacted by current Circuit Breaker. No matter whether it’s businesses or individuals, everyone is struggling to make ends meet. Either it’s small businesses wondering if they’re going to survive through this or families having not enough to even eat. However, every so often, we chance upon selfless acts by the community to help the underprivileged.
The Coconut Club Is Giving Out A Thousand Nasi Lemak To Those In Need
The Coconut Club has been partnering with Beyond Social Services to deliver their signature Nasi Lemak to feed struggling families and individuals. They have been covering 8 to 14 neighbourhoods in Singapore since the past two weeks. They have stated that they will continue doing so until the condition in the country improves over time.
The action has been sparked by the mere fact that people are genuinely concerned about whether they’re able to bring put to their table. It’s hard for businesses to give back even at times like this because they’re also struggling to stay afloat. But The Coconut Club has stepped outside of their normal business logic to kickstart the initiative to support the vulnerable in the community.
If you didn’t already know, The Coconut Club is one of the top nasi lemak specialist in the island. Serving a variety of Nasi Lemak, The Coconut Club has gained massive popularity throughout the years and have even received the Michelin Bib Gourmand Singapore 2018 for its decadent Nasi Lemak and Cendol.
