Teck Hin Delicacies: Delicious Chee Cheong Fun
Despite having only one item on the menu, Teck Hin Delicacies usually has a long line of people waiting for their Chee Cheong Fun. Fun fact, they used to be popular for their porridge! The stall opens at 6:30am daily and it is advisable to head down early. Going after 10:00 a.m. is certainly a risk as there might be a long queue or they might already be sold out.

Teck Hin Delicacies truly sticks to tradition by keeping their Chee Cheong Fun simple. Chopped scallions and white sesame seeds, a dressing of sesame oil, mild soya sauce, and a dash of sweet sauce. The Chee Cheong Fun is silky smooth and even without the sweet sauce, it is still full of flavour. Though this dish sounds simple, it is a dish done right, making it a popular favourite of many.

Pair it with their chilli mixed with hae bi for an added kick of umami and spice that elevates the dish. There are two prices you can choose from the Chee Cheong Fun which are affordably priced at $2.50 and $350. Since it’s only a dollar difference, getting the $3.50 option would be better. Just take one bite and you’ll be glad you ordered more!
