Located in a quiet corner of Taman Jurong Market and Food Centre, ButterNut is a stall that specialises in modern Western fusion food. Items on their menu include spaghetti, finger food like sweet potato fries and onion rings, and of course, their famous thin-crust pizza.

And yes, this stall is Halal-certified, Muslim friends!

This stall’s signature dish is the ButterNut Chicken Pizza. At just $9.90, you get a thin-crust pizza with butternut squash pieces and chicken chunks spread generously atop a tomato-sauce base. The cheese is melty and gooey, and it complements the pastry crust perfectly.

The surface of the pizza is lightly seared with a blowtorch to bring out the aroma of the butternut squash, and the sweet and savoury notes are perfect on your tongue.

If butternut squash isn’t quite up your alley, though, you can always go for their Mushroom Truffle Pizza ($11.30)! This pizza boasts a stronger flavour profile – you can really taste the rich pungence of the truffle oil. And the mushrooms provide a good bite as well.

If you’re feeling like pineapple on pastry, ButterNut also offers a good Haiwaiian Classic Pizza ($9.90)! Just look at those succulent chunks of pineapple. Mmm.

All ButterNut’s pizzas are baked on a crispy, thin crust for the best crunch and fragrance – just imagine the crackle that’s going to make in your mouth!

You can also try their Rajesh Herbs or Smoked Duck Pizza – they have 7 choices for you to pick from, and all 7 sound mouth-wateringly good.

Do you know a friend or two who swear they hate mushrooms? If they try these, they might change their minds. These portobello mushrooms are huge, and they’re stuffed full of glorious, glorious cheese.

When we say huge, we mean huge.

They’re topped with cherry tomatoes to take the edge off the richness of the cheese, so you can eat these all day without tiring of them! They’re definitely something you have to try when you visit ButterNut.

If you’re not feeling like pizza, you can always give ButterNut’s baked meals a try! These are totally customiseable, which is half of the fun. Simply pick a base (spaghetti, brown rice, quinoa), a sauce (pomodoro, alfredo, salted egg, etc), sides and meat, and they’ll serve it up to you baked in the form of a gloriously golden cheese dish.

Look at that. No words needed.

On the other hand, if all you’re craving is some finger food, ButterNut does seriously good sweet potato fries.
