Good news, they have recently opened its seventh outlet in Raffles Hospital at North Bridge Road, offering a delectable plethora of dishes to enjoy. Established in 2012 by Mr Ng Sing Chow, he decided to venture into the F&B scene in Singapore when he faced difficulties with his apparel business. Inspired by the popularity of Thai wanton noodles in Bangkok, he worked effortlessly to learn and perfect the dish before opening their first stall in Ang Mo Kio. Fast forward 12 years later, they now have seven outlets islandwide and are one of Singapore’s top spots for Thai Wanton Mee.

Their new outlet combines a trendy Thai modern aesthetic with warm brown furniture fittings. Additionally, their signature neon lights logo adorns the space, adding a unique touch to the ambience.

1. Original Thai Wanton Mee ($6.80)

Starting with their signature, the wanton mee is served with a generous array of ingredients – Thai sausage, fried wanton, char siew, and topped with crispy golden nuggets of pork lard.

Don’t be fooled by the unassuming looks of the noodles as they are incredibly springy and packed with flavour. To give the dish more oomph, do add the Thai chilli flakes and green chilli for an amazing kick of spice and acidity.

As for the ingredients, the char siew is tender while the Thai sausage offers a sweet-salty element, with a slight char that gives a crispy edge and smokiness. The wanton is crispy and contains a substantial amount of filling with the perfect amount of seasoning. Additionally, the pork lard adds a sinful yet pleasant umami to each bite, elevating the dish. 

2. Black Sauce Thai Wanton Mee ($6.80)

Similar to the previous dish, this Thai wanton mee however is served with black sauce instead. Compared to the original, it is bolder and sweeter in flavour, offering a unique yet familiar twist. Both versions are served with the same ingredients and a bowl of light and peppery soup.

3. Thai Fried Rice ($6.80)

If you’re craving some rice, this would be a good option. The rice is fluffy and flavourful, with flavours reminiscent of your typical Chinese-style fried rice. Served alongside a dipping sauce, it adds layers of savouriness and heat that blend well with the other flavours.

4. Thai Mango Salad ($7)

A refreshing palate cleanser to share, the mango salad is fresh and crunchy, offering a good balance of sweet and salty. Topped with sliced chillis, it gives the dish a kick of heat that complements the vibrant flavours.

One of their must-tries, the fried pork is incredibly crispy and even retains its texture after being left out for a significant period. The batter is perfectly seasoned and isn’t too thick, allowing you to enjoy the texture and natural flavour of the pork while a delightful kick of garlic helps to lift the dish. 

6. Thai BBQ Pork ($13)

Compared to your classic roasted char siew, the marinade of the BBQ pork here is sweeter without being too overpowering. Smoky and tender, it has a layer of char that adds a delightful textural contrast to the meat as well.
