Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2020 Will Feature Colourful Artwork Light Shows From Dec. 25

So Pretty!

Hello there guys! It’ll be Christmas tomorrow and pretty soon, the countdown to a brand new year will take place. An annual year-end event here in Singapore is the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown that aims to ring in an awesome new year. But this year, the celebration will be slightly different. Instead of the usual fireworks, 3 buildings around the marina area will be lit up with significant artworks.

Marina Bay Singapore Countdown Will Project Colourful Artworks

This year, the programme, called Share The Moment will feature 17 artworks projected on the facade of Merlion and The Fullerton Hotel. Also, these artwork projections are taken from 24 tertiary students and will start on 25th December. As for the inspiration behind their artworks, it mainly depicts the community’s act of kindness during the past year.

Additionally, there will be another projection show that reflects the students’ hopes and aspirations for Singapore. This will begin from 26th December on the facade of ArtScience Museum.

Both projection shows will end on 31st December 2020 and will run every 15 minutes from 8 PM to 10.30 PM nightly. On 31st December, the shows will be extended until 11.45 PM.

Catch The Nightly ‘Shine A Light’ Display At The Promontory

On a side note, have you guys witnessed the ongoing “Shine a Light” display at The Promontory? This will take place nightly from 8 PM to 10.30 PM and features 60 light beams projecting into the sky.
