1. Rebel Gurl

The newly renovated 111 Somerset offers some new and unique restaurants for you to try! One of them is Rebel. Rebel’s hearty subs are filled with so much goodness you will definitely want to come back! Rebel has incorporated Asian flavours into their sandwiches. Not only are they affordable, but they also have a wide menu which is also vegetarian-friendly!

2. El Mero Mero

Found in Chijmes, El Mero Mero creates modern Mexican dishes. Although it is more on the pricey side, El Mero Mero crafts a variety of dishes such as carnitas and octopus. Their newly renovated restaurant gives a more vibrant atmosphere. Give it a shot! Mexican food would not be seen as just burritos and nachos anymore!

3. Fluff Stack

Been seeing these fluffy soufflé pancakes on social media but have no idea where to get one? Not to fret, Fluff Stack sells these fluffy goodness here in Suntec City! As these pancakes are made on the spot, it has a 15-minute waiting time. Their fluffy texture and rich flavour is worth the wait!

The name says it all, once you have a bite of their truffle-filled food, it is indeed trufflelicious! Who doesn’t like truffle right? Found in Funan, try their truffle don or grilled cheese! All their food is topped off with savoury and aromatic truffle! You would not want to miss!

5. Afuri Ramen

If you like ramen, this place is for you! Afuri, the famous ramen stall in Japan has made its way to Singapore. If you like yuzu, try their Signature yuzu broth! Their yuzu broth is light and tangy, it is just the right amount if you prefer lighter ramen. Afuri also offers Tsukemen, which is usually offered in the summer in Japan. Tsukemen is ramen dish consisting of noodles which is eaten after being dipped in a separate bowl of soup or broth. It is something not to miss!

Located in Serangoon Gardens, Monzen offers a range of Japanese inspired bowls to satisfy your cravings! These Japanese rice bowls consist of a bowl of warm fluffy Japanese rice topped with chopped sashimi or meat! Try their Wagyu Beef Don for a taste of Japan!

This Vietnamese Pho shop is unique in a way that the shop is set up by a deaf couple, Anthony and Angela. The shop sells Pho and Spring Rolls for an affordable price. Their Pho broth is clear however don’t be fooled, the broth is filled with flavour! While the Pho noodles are slightly thicker than normal, it does not clump and complements the broth well!

Located on the rooftop garden of Orchard Central, Joie, presents a concept that specialises in modern meatless cuisine. Influenced by the new wave dining trend in Europe and Taiwan that focuses on uplifting and innovative natural fare prepared with the freshest vegetables, fruits and herbs, owner of Joie, Mr Huang looks to bring this dining experience to Singapore. While it is a vegetarian restaurant, the menu is vast and you would not be disappointed!

Want something sweet? Head to 111 Somerset and try Coney Donut! It is all in its name, Coney Donut serves cones in the shape of a doughnut, what’s there not to love about it! made fresh daily, each doughnut can be topped off with ice cream or just cream! This is something you would definitely need to try! If you are not a fan of sweet treats, try their scrambled eggs in a cone too!

10. Starter Lab

From Bali, Starter Lab has found its way to Singapore. Filipino-American Emerson Manibo started the original Starter Lab in Bali in 2017 with his partner, Min Siah. The bakery sells a range of bread and pastries from sourdough to cruffins. You can even buy a loaf home! Found in Havelock road, the bakery’s atmosphere is warm and cozy, with a welcoming scent of freshly made bread! It is definitely worth trying!
