TL;DR
- Burger King and KFC Singapore are both taking precautions to enforce social distancing rules – and making it fun!
- Burger King Singapore will provide giant social-distancing crowns from 24 June onwards.
- KFC Singapore is introducing 5 different cardboard cutouts of Colonel Sanders to ensure social distancing between groups.
Phase 2 reopened last Friday, and some of us have already started cautiously leaving the house for small, socially-distanced gatherings. But it gets worryingly crowded sometimes, doesn’t it? That’s why KFC and Burger King Singapore are stepping up measures to enforce the social distancing rules – and keep its customers happy and healthy!
Cardboard Cutouts of Colonel Sanders
Craving your fried chicken fix – but worried to dine in? KFC’s got you covered! Its new cast of 5 different Colonel-Sanders cutouts will keep other customers at bay while you chow down on your chicken tenders.
Have lunch with the brooding-protagonist manga version of Colonel Sanders, or dine with the more cheerful cartoon version, who gives off a more boy-next-door vibe.
Honestly, we’re not sure if this is a social-distancing tactic or a Colonel Sanders dating sim, but you know what, we’re down for it.
You can go to 8 outlets to meet these 5 cutouts:
- Compass One
- JEM
- Jurong Point
- Kallang Stadium Boulevard
- Northpoint City
- Novena Square
- Toa Payoh
- Waterway Point
You Dropped This, King
And if you’re craving burgers, you can always head over to Burger King for another fun surprise: social-distancing crowns! These dropped in Germany in May (click here to read our article about that!), and it’s only just made its way to our shores.
It’s definitely a fun way of making sure people stay at least 1 metre apart from each other when dining in.
But that’s not all – wear the crowns, and get a 1-for-1 Whopper Deal and more! Rewards start from 11am daily!
Doesn’t that make you want to head down right away? And it seems that most outlets will be participating in this one:
