If you’re curious enough to take a peek behind the scenes, you will notice how hectic it is. From opening to closing, you will see the uncle working there tossing and flipping Hokkien Noodles non-stop. In addition, just by passing by this store, you’ll be hit with fragrant aromas of seafood, eggs and course, smokiness. Also, the people behind the stall are some of the most welcoming and kind owners you’ll meet.

With Hokkien Noodles, you know what to expect. Thick and saucy gravy with seafood flavour laced within. However, this isn’t any Hokkien Mee. The Dry Hokkien Mee is much more unctuous. The noodles are tender and almost mushy, but they carry the flavours well. There is a very generous amount of seafood within the dish. All of them show no signs of being overcooked. Even their house-made chilli is fantastic!

Their Dry Hokkien Mee goes for $5 and you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better deal anywhere else. Also, you are getting more than you’re paying for. Each bite has strong seafood and Umami flavour. Because this is a dry variation, all that gravy imparts itself into the noodles, making each bite incredibly addictive.

The wok hei flavour is also very prevalent in this dish, with one slurp of the noodles- you can taste the smokiness from the wok.
