Located at Tampines Avenue 4, Zoul’s Corner has been operating for a few years now, serving delicious Nasi Ayam Penyet! They also offer other dishes such as Roti John and various noodle dishes, however, their most popular item would be their Nasi Ayam Penyet! Their Nasi Ayam Penyet was even crowned as Class 95’s Foodie’s Choice Award back in September 2019.

Their Nasi Ayam Penyet ($8.50) comes with a generous amount of rice – but not just like any white rice, but the rice you get when you’re eating chicken rice. Not many places serve their Nasi Ayam Penyet with ‘chicken rice’ rice, so this already sets them apart from other Nasi Ayam Penyet stalls. The rice is perfectly cooked too – soft and fluffy!

The chicken that comes with the Nasi Ayam Penyet is extremely huge! Topped with crunchy chicken crumbs, this is definitely a treat for you chicken lovers out there. The chicken was well-marinated, well-battered and perfectly fried, allowing you to enjoy the fried chicken even if you decide to eat it on its own. The chicken is also not tough, as the chicken rips apart easily when you poke into it.

You also get a bowl of soup, not just any usual chicken rice soup, however, it is a bowl of mee-soto soup! Surprisingly, the soup goes well with the rice and chicken. It helps to bring all the flavours together even more. They also serve their sambal, which is a burst of flavours – sweet, spicy and slightly salty. Make sure you get a bite of everything when you’re digging in – you’ll be blown away at how a simple dish can be so good.
