A homely hole-in-a-wall located in Chinatown, Sultan of Satay is a pleasant surprise within Chinatown. They are a quaint stall, placed along the path of several other stores where you may find plenty of people shopping! They serve the classics- Chicken, Beef and Mutton! All of which coated with their sweet and spicy seasoning, with a side of your usual additions- Lontong, Cucumber and their homemade Peanut Sauce!

We recommend you try their famous Mutton Satay ($9.50 for ten sticks), consisting of fatty, smoky, rich and sickly-sweet marinated mutton. Also, should you wish for something a bit lighter, go for their delicious Chicken Satay ($8 for ten sticks). Juicy chicken that is perfectly charred. What more can you ask for?

One of their other speciality is their Grilled Tiger Prawns ($5.99)! Unlike their Satay and other dishes, the Tiger Prawns are left mostly alone- other than a light marinade, salt and pepper! The Tiger Prawns are always fresh. It is then grilled over coals, imparting a smoky flavour! It is paired with their homemade Sambal Sauce, you won’t get a better deal than this!
