5 Massive Parks To Open In Mandai, With The Bird Park & Rainforest Park Opening This Year!

Together with the Singapore Zoo, Night Safari & River Safari, the 5-in-1 precinct creates a thrilling multi-park experience for all guests. You’re bound to have an amazing time exploring everything the space has to offer!
Furthermore, we can expect the new Bird Park & Rainforest Park to open as early as 2020!
Wildlife Care & Rehab Centre At The Rainforest Park
Inspired by the tropical rainforest, the Rainforest Park is truly a sight to behold. As a visitor, you can expect to learn more about Singapore’s conservation efforts for flora & fauna through interactive exhibits!
There will also be an extension with a wildlife care centre for injured animals. Staff & volunteers will help nurse and rehabilitate wild animals found by the public, providing the necessary treatments.
Jurong Bird Park Relocating: Bigger & Better!
Although some were sad to see the OG Jurong Bird Park go, rest assured — the birds will be in a better place soon (literally)! Singapore’s new Bird Park will have enough space for interactive exhibits where birds can roam freely.
Here are some things you can expect at the new Bird Park:
- 9 globally themed walk-through aviaries
- Conservation sanctuaries for endangered birds
- Free-flying tropical birds
- Waterside trail with roaming Caribbean flamingos
FREE, Public Boardwalk & Nature Trails
Here’s a piece of good news! Although most of the attractions are ticketed, there will be a public boardwalk/nature trail that is free of charge! Through the boardwalk, you can get a panoramic view of the Night Safari, Zoo & River Safari.

Additionally, wildlife can move about more freely between parks once the eco-bridge is built!
Getting To Mandai Nature Reserve
If you don’t own a car, or you intend to take public transport there, it may be a little trickier. However, we can expect better accessibility once the Thomson East Coast line is launched this year.
Then, visitors can consider taking shuttle buses from Springleaf MRT station!
However, there are currently other ways you can get to Mandai.
