When you open a rice cooker’s lid, the smell of freshly cooked rice making its way to the atmosphere is always comforting. Better yet, when it is coconut rice! Over the years, nasi lemak has undergone several transformations. Now, you can find it in the usual triangle-like package, or on a plate full of other delicious ingredients. Thanks to Kampung Kia Nasi Lemak, you can find coconut rice in blue colour, too.

Apart from the stunning blue pea nasi lemak, the main event is the choice of meat! Kampung Kia Nasi Lemak has all types of meat under the sun, and also sea. Take a bite on the extraordinary giant fried sotong, or sink your teeth in the succulent chilli prawns or chilli soft shell crab. Make it a simple meal with a crispy fish fillet! Chicken lovers will need to try rendang chicken, curry chicken, or chicken wings! Yum!

Kampung Kia Nasi Lemak serves otah otah as well. We loved the fact that there are a lot of colours on a plate, especially when these are all-natural colourings. A plate of nasi lemak costs approximately $8.50, but it really depends on the main dish! Will you be making your way to try out blue pea nasi lemak? Let us know in the comments!
