Nestled in Upper Paya Lebar Road, there is a humble-looking bakery. The look of the bakery isn’t a showstopper, but the baked goods certainly are. Being around for more than 30 years, Jie Traditional Bread Bakery has been the go-to bakery for many locals. Churning out more than one thousand loaves of bread per day, their bread has become one of the breakfast staples for many Singaporeans.

Baked to the fluffiest perfection, each tray of bread is lightly buttered before being cut into smaller loaves. Apart from the traditional loave of bread, it is popular for its rainbow loaves. Similarly shaped like the normal ones, it is made of a kaleidoscope of colours. The light hues of pink, yellow, and green are simply stunning. It is definitely one for the ‘gram before consuming.

Soft and somewhat buttery, simply slab on some kaya or butter, and you’re good to go! Apart from selling hearty loaves of bread, you will be thrilled to know that there buns with fillings as well. Treat yourself to Coconut Bun, Red Bean Bun, and more. There is a lot to unpack here, so it is highly recommended for you to take a visit to see some of your favourites!
