One of the must-try stalls at Ghim Moh Hawker Centre, Hin Fried Hor Fun offers something pretty unique which is two types of gravy. One of which is a dark brown colour while the other is off-white. Well, the difference is actually due to the addition of beef.

As some of Hin’s customers don’t take beef, they decided to make two types of gravy to cater to them. Not only have they mastered the art of wok hei, but they have also perfected their gravy as well. The consistency is absolutely sublime, and it’s no wonder why people flock to the stall for a taste of it.

The Beef Hor Fun ($6) has an incredible texture- silky and smooth while still having the perfect amount of chewiness. The wok hei is infused into the hor fun and flavourful gravy, adding an amazing smokiness to the dish that lingers as well, making each bite simply divine.

The consistency of the gravy is just right, ensuring you won’t feel jelak even after you’ve finished the entire plate. As for the beef, it is really tender, adding a pleasant touch of flavour and textural contrast to the hor fun. A scrumptious dish that you definitely must try!
