We are here to bring some sad news today. Two cafes that are featuring the cutest Japanese characters are bidding farewell in the month of November. Gudetama Cafe and My Melody Cafe are closing down due to partnership agreements with the Japanese company, Sanrio Co. It is time to visit these cute cafes for the last time before 17th November!
Gudetama Cafe & My Melody Cafe
Gudetama Cafe has been in Singapore for more than three years. These themed cafes feature interiors splattered with cute Japanese characters, with food and beverages following the same theme. It is pretty much an Instagram wonderland. To say goodbye to Singaporeans, Gudetama Cafe is offering discounts starting from 10th October 2019.
From 10th October until 17th November, head down to the cafe to enjoy some promotions. Not only the promotions are applicable for food and beverages, but the offer expands to merchandises as well. You can get 33% off when you purchase three food items. It can be a combination of three main meals, or two main meals and one dessert. Prices are between $26 to $28 for main courses and approximately $20 for desserts.
Will you be visiting one last time?
It is no surprise that these themed cafes are closing down. In Singapore, themed cafes are quite shortlived as Hello Kitty Cafe and Pompompurin Cafe closing down previously. If you love these cute Japanese characters, it is time to head down to these cafes for one last time. Remember to snap some photographs, as the closest Gudetama Cafes and My Melody Cafe will be miles away after 17th November 2019!
