Authorities Will Give Fine To Groups Larger Than 5 At F&B Spots In Singapore

Without a doubt, Covid-19 has truly changed everything. For the past couple of months, we have changed the way we live our normal lives. From doing everything at the comfort of our own home, it was good to hear when we were entering Phase 2. However, with the number of cases of Covid-19 going down within the country, some of us have forgotten that it is important to maintain social distancing. Well, the authorities are here to remind us!

Authorities Will Give Fine To Groups Larger Than 5

On the 22nd September 2020, the authorities have ordered as many as three food and beverage spots to shut down. In addition to this, four other spots were fined. It was requested to shut down due to breaching safe management measures. Two of the locations mentioned were accepting groups larger than five. It disregards the fact that these customers were seated separately.

The three spots were 25 Church Street, 39 Hong Kong Street, and Blk 261 Serangoon Central Drive, #01-27. Apart from punishing these food and beverage owners, authorities have fined as many as 17 people for breaking the rules. On top of that, a kind reminder that you are not allowed to consume alcohol at food and beverage spots after 10:30 p.m.! So, if you feel like drinking, you can always do that at home instead.
