Originally a small takeaway store in the basement of Chinatown Point, the shop initially sold bird’s nest products, giving rise to its name. Shortly after, the owner of NestCha decided to start incorporating the bird’s nest into trendy fruit and bubble teas and moved in to occupy a quaint space tucked along Haji Lane.
Yummy Mochi Cakes, Mini-basque Burnt Cheesecakes, And More!
Start with the Sea Salt Soya Machi Cake ($9.90). Made with soft cake and dollops of salt soya milk cream, this layered sweet treat is topped with sticks of stretchy mochi for a delightfully soft and chewy texture. Yam lovers will fall in love at first bite with the Yam Chicken Floss Mochi Cake ($9.90). Consisting of yam cream, chicken floss, seaweed, and mochi, the yummy blend of sweet and savoury flavours with creamy yam paste is what gives this dish an edge over other traditional mochi desserts.
Here at NestCha, other classic flavours such as black sesame and taro are also re-imagined into delicious desserts that look as good as they taste. For example, the cafe even serves mini-basque burnt cheesecakes in cupcake liners!
