In 1988, Madam Ong Qiu Lian started serving her handmade Ban Mee and Mee Hoon Kuay to yearning locals and gained immense popularity over the years. Known for its rich soup base and springy handmade noodles, Qiu Lian Ban Mee continues to be a household name among locals to this day.

In collaboration with Qiu Lian Ban Mee, The Travelling Spoon brings you their signature handmade Ban Mee in a specially formulated spicy sauce. Started in 1949, Chew Kee began selling Singapore’s first Soy Sauce Chicken. From its original outlet at No. 8 Upper Cross Street, Chew Kee continues to serve its legendary dishes with a 70-year-old recipe that spans over three generations.
