Hey Foodies! Aside from the upcoming Hari Raya Puasa, there is another cause for celebration. The Soup Spoon Singapore has just announced that they have been certified halal by the Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura – MUIS, the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore. Our Muslim friends can finally dine at all 26 The Soup Spoon outlets in Singapore!
The Soup Spoon’s 26 Outlets Are Now Halal!
According to The Soup Spoon, all 26 of their outlets were certified halal officially from 1 June 2019, and they will be displaying the halal logo starting 4 June 2019. Plus, this includes The Soup Spoon Union outlets as well!
If you’re unfamiliar with The Soup Spoon’s menu, here are some of its star dishes!
Soup is definitely the key element of The Soup Spoon, and they serve a wide variety of soups. You may think that soup is not a proper meal, but their soups are actually really thick and filling! They are full of ingredients like vegetables and meat – depending on what soup you’re having. Each bowl of soup also comes with a piece of bread to go with the soup to satisfy those hunger pangs.
Choose from 8 signature soups: Tangy Tomato with Basil, Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff, Meatless Minestrone, Roasted Pumpkin, Beef Goulash, SG Chicken & Mushroom, Tokyo Chicken Stew and Boston Clam Chowder. For premium flavours, try out their SouperChef Specials: Buttery Tikka Masala, Sumo-Style Nabe and Budae Jiggae (Korean Army Stew). However, if soup is not your thing, or it is not enough for you, they also have a variety of sandwiches, salads and flatbreads to order from.
You can also buy their soup in packets to bring home if you love it that much! The soup packets can be bought in store. All you have to do when you get home is just reheat the soup. Perfect for days when you don’t feel like cooking!
