Some food and beverages are just part of a trend, and it will eventually disappear. Then, there is going to be food that will always be staples in our lives. You have guessed it, we are talking about bread. In Singapore, we are never short of bakeries to visit. But, it wouldn’t hurt to have another one! We have heard the news that Starter Lab will be opening in Singapore in the month of August!

Here’s a little background about the establishment. The famous sourdough bakery was started by Emerson Manibo, which have gained his bread baking skills from well-regarded bakeries in the United States such as Tartine Bakery. Soon after, he returned to Bali to open Starter Lab in 2017, with Min Siah. Now, they are one of the best sourdough bakeries on the island!
In Singapore, Starter Lab’s menu will offer seven kinds of sourdough. The loaves will be weighing approximately one kilogram, and it comes with a price tag of $12 to $18. Apart from that, you can also get pastries, scones, and sandwiches. Let’s not forget about coffee that will be served by Glasshouse by Chijmes. Sounds like a perfect Sunday brunch already!
Some of the flavours available in Bali are Salted Egg & Curry Leaf, Garlic Confit & Parmesan, Rosemary Lemon and Sea Salt Sourdough. Hopefully, they will have it right here too! The new bakery is set to open at Havelock Road. How does it look like? Imagine a takeaway booth for bakes and coffee and a cafe that can accommodate 35 people. We are excited to see!

We are just one month away from its grand opening at Havelock Road. 8 Days noted that Starter Lab is the Gucci of bread, so it is definitely a must to check this place out.
