From their name, you can probably guess Sabeen Sara offers two main dishes, Roti Prata and Nasi Briyani – Chicken Briyani and Mutton Briyani. Though it might seem like a simple dish, plenty of labour and time goes into making Nasi Briyani.
Between cooking the rice with various spices and stewing the mutton for hours to ensure it’s perfectly tender and flavourful is certainly no easy task. The result however is a plate of fluffy and fragrant rice with melt-in-your-mouth pieces of mutton that customers simply can’t get enough of.
The Mutton Briyani ($6.50) is served with a bed of fluffy and aromatic rice, and a large chunk of mutton instead of your usual diced cubes. A plate of mutton curry is served alongside as well. Pairing well with rice, the curry is flavourful and has a delightful kick of spice that lingers and builds with each bite, making it incredibly addictive.
As for the mutton, it is incredibly tender and pulls apart with ease. Additionally, it doesn’t smell at all and isn’t too gamey, making it palatable for most people. Mix it up with the curry and rice for a beautiful explosion of flavour that’ll have you wanting more!
