Penang International Food Festival 2022 Is Closing Up With The Vibrant “Taste Of Penang” Event
The PIFF 2022 comes with 2 major events, 6 mini-festivals, and 3 cooking classes happening at all over the island and the mainland! All are dedicated to promoting Penang’s world-renowned and diverse food scene! Penang is known globally for its legendary foodscape, one that is ever expanding and colourful, just like its people.
The Festival’s closing weekend will be held on the island on 27 & 28 August, with its major event ‘Taste of Penang’ set to take place at Jalan Kelawai. ‘Taste of Penang’ showcases the state’s modern food scene, where visitors can easily hop from one popular cafe, restaurant, or hotel to the next in a matter of seconds. Festival-goers can also expect live performances, a picnic area, and cooking demonstrations.
Don’t Forget To Visit Six Mini Festivals From 22 – 27 August 2022
Aside from the two major events, Foodies should also visit their six other mini-festivals – ‘Picnic @ Roof Garden’, ‘Gertak Sanggul Food Truck Rally’, ‘Mini Curry Festival’, ‘Thirsty Thursday’, ‘RM2 Mini Food Festival’, and ‘Santai Morning’. From the 22nd – 27th of August, celebrate Penang’s unique diversity from each mini-festivals that are intended to shine a spotlight on specific culinary scenes. Plus, you can also expect cooking classes where you can learn how to cook flavourful local dishes.
The Penang International Food Festival 2022 is organized by TLM Event, endorsed by the Penang State Government, and is fully supported by the Penang Island City Council (MBPP), Seberang Perai City Council (MBSP), and Penang Global Tourism (PGT).
