If you love small colourful treats, you will need to check out Lek Lim Nonya Cake Confectionery. Situated in 84 Bedok North Street 4, the confectionery can be easily spotted with old-school signage with bright red and green wordings. The unpretentious bakery has rows of steel shelves in every corner, with different nyonya kueh and other treats waiting to be hand-selected by you.

Here, you will be able to find some usual nyonya kueh, from the well-loved ondeh-ondeh to the colourful nine layer cake. Many netizens noted that their curry puffs are heavenly, as it has a crispy crust, and packed with delicious stuffings. For the main event, check out their glutinous rice dumplings and chilli crab dumplings. Unlike the usual ones that are wrapped in leaves, these are shaped like a slice of cake.

Apart from this, Lek Lim Nonya Cake Confectionery also has soon kueh, even ones with yellow skin made out of turmeric and ginger. Interestingly, some of the soon kuehs fillings are hae bee hiam.
