Having retained their Michelin Bib Gourmand Award for five years in a row, Na Na Curry continues to remain one of the most popular stalls at Bukit Merah View Hawker Centre. First opened in 1989 at Marina South, the family-run stall has since expanded, with a total of four outlets across Singapore. Even to this day, some customers still refer to the stall as “Marina South Curry”.

The stall offers an array of curry dishes like Curry Fish Head, Curry Fish Meat ($6), Curry Chicken ($4.50), and Curry Chicken Drumstick ($5.00). For those that love their spice, the Curry Mutton ($5) is said to be the stall’s spiciest dish while the Curry Pork Ribs ($5) are a thicker and richer version of the previous curries mentioned.

The Curry Chicken Drumstick ($5) is served with a decent-sized chicken thigh and drumstick, along with two huge chunks of potato. For carbs, customers can opt for rice ($0.50) or bread ($0.50/$1).

The curry is bursting with flavour, giving a homely and comforting taste in each sip. There’s an amazing kick of spice that builds and lingers, yet you can’t help but go back for more! Although the curry doesn’t contain coconut milk it is still pretty lemak, with its consistency being still slightly thick and not too watery.

The chicken is pretty tender, absorbing the robust flavours of the curry. Additionally, the skin of the drumstick is silky smooth, making each bite a delightful indulgence. As for the potato, it soaks up the curry well, with its natural flavour still coming through at the end.
