One of the best shops for all types of roasted meat, Foong Kee Coffee Shop, will be closing on 15th June 2021. Operated by a self-taught chef, Chef Wong, this humble shop has been serving plates of roasted duck rice, char siew rice, roasted pork rice, and wanton noodles for more than 20 years. Affordably priced, Foong Kee Coffee Shop has been the go-to place for many locals.

With so many years of experience, this spot has perfected the skills of creating the perfect caramelisation for char siew, and it is the perfect pairing with springy wanton noodles. Speaking to the man himself, Chef Wong, it was noted that the shop was sold to a brand new owner, who will be setting up another business. He further added that he needed some rest after being in the industry for more than 20 years.
