FairPrice Finest has recently opened at Clarke Quay, becoming the 40th addition to its line of Finest outlets across Singapore. The new outlet combines Clarke Quay’s journey from a bustling commercial hub to the modern lifestyle destination that it is today.
FairPrice Finest Opens At Clarke Quay
Located within CQ @ Clarke Quay, the 14,000 square foot space – approximately 14 four-room HDB flats, showcases exclusive food experiences celebrating local produce and culture.
In line with FPG’s steadfast support for local suppliers, FairPrice Finest Clarke Quay features a diverse array of products offered in collaboration with Singapore-based partners, curated specifically for residents in the area.
Additionally, the outlet introduces an interactive ‘Pick Your Own’ kacang puteh kiosk experience in partnership with the homegrown nuts brand, Tong Garden.
These diverse offerings are a testament to FPG’s commitment to meeting the diverse needs and preferences of all customers, simultaneously serving as a platform for local businesses to showcase their products. On top of that, FairPrice Finest Clarke Quay ensures accessibility by retailing the same range of daily essentials found in all FairPrice stores, maintaining consistency in both product range and pricing.
In celebration of the launch, there is an offering of special store-opening promotions, with discounts of up to 60% on selected items. This includes favorites like the Delicato Wagyu Leg Steak and Beef Tenderloin, priced at $3.44 per 100g and $5.52 per 100g, respectively.
Grocer Food Hall
FairPrice Finest Clarke Quay unveils The Grocer Food Hall, a dedicated food experience zone where shoppers can indulge in a variety of culinary options from six distinct kiosks. These kiosks present value meal options priced competitively compared to nearby food and beverage establishments. Examples include Straits Flavour’s Curry Chicken Value Meal at $8.80 and Mezzi’s Chicken and Lebanese Rice Value Meal at $5.90.
Each kiosk also offers a Heritage Dish, showcasing Singaporean flavours. Notable options include Shinshima’s Ika with Chilli Crab Sauce, Atavola Pasta and Pane’s Milo Tiramisu, and LPB Market & Bistro’s Heritage Sandwich featuring succulent char siu-style pork.
Customers can also experience FairPrice Finest’s signature ‘You Pick, We Cook’ service, allowing them to select their preferred cuts of beef from the Delicato beef counter, including the opening special of Delicato’s Wagyu Leg Steak at a budget-friendly $3.44 per 100g. Alternatively, customers can also choose fresh seafood directly from the shelf, with the option to have it prepared and enjoyed on the spot.
Honouring Clarke Quay’s Roots
Designed with nautical-themed elements to honour the precinct’s maritime history, the warehouse-inspired layout reflects Clarke Quay’s storied past, and a wall mural highlighting the Singapore River’s role as a trading port. This design not only celebrates FairPrice Group’s (FPG) milestones but also aligns with FPG’s mission of ensuring easy access to daily essentials for all.
The outlet will offer unique merchandise featuring designs by local artists, including the FairPrice Finest x Kelly Ser Atelier collection. This collection by local artist Kelly Ser showcases modern depictions of traditional architecture and landmarks, with a special line dedicated to Clarke Quay. Items such as the SG River Tote Bag and SG River Tumbler, priced at $9.90 and $6.90 respectively, vividly depict Clarke Quay’s historical significance as a vibrant center of trade and commerce along the Singapore River.
Blending Heritage with Innovative Experiences
In addition to its dedication to heritage and community support, FPG continuously seeks to enhance and redefine customer retail experiences. FairPrice Finest Clarke Quay introduces innovative concepts such as The Grocer Bar, an in-store bar area where shoppers can immediately enjoy FairPrice Finest’s wide array of beer, wine, and spirits post-purchase. Furthermore, customers can explore designer cocktails crafted in collaboration with local brands like Brass Lion Distillery and Pernod Ricard Singapore.
These include 11 unique twists on local favourites, including the Kueh Salat Cocktail, featuring a gin base with flavours reminiscent of the popular Peranakan kueh, and the Ondeh Ondeh Cocktail, blending coconut rum with gula malacca for a sweet and refreshing tipple. All Heritage Cocktails are priced at $15 per glass. The outlet proudly hosts FPG’s largest Grocer Bar and pays homage to the area’s transformation into one of Singapore’s renowned nightlife districts.
