Located in Xi De Li at Whampoa Market, China Whampoa Homemade Noodle is a true hidden gem. Just like many places that serve authentic ban mian, this spot makes their noodles from scratch, too. Many netizens had commented that their noodles are topnotch. The noodles have described as a mixture of springy and al dente.

There are several types of noodles to choose from here. The default selection is you mian, but you can opt for ban mian instead. If you don’t know the difference, you mian is the thinner version whereas ban mian is the thicker version for noodles.

Here comes the main highlight! China Whampoa Homemade Noodle is famous for its dry and spicy version. Mix it well, and you will notice every strand of noodles is beautifully covered with red to orange sauce. Those who had tried it mentioned that it has a good amount of spice, among other flavours.

To spice it up, there are a few chilli condiments to try from. Choose from red chilli, lime chilli, chilli paid, and pineapple chilli. Do take note that pineapple chilli is pretty special, and perhaps it may not be a favourite for everyone. Additionally, this spot is famous for having two large prawns. Rejoice, seafood lovers!
