- Bubble tea stores will reopen from 19th June 2020 onwards.
- This was confirmed by Education Minister, Ong Ye Kung.
When Circuit Breaker was announced a couple of months ago, long queues were spotted at bubble tea stores around Singapore. Throughout the Circuit Breaker, there were many ways to get your hands on bubble tea, including making it from scratch from home. But, nothing beats queueing for it, right?
Bubble Tea Stores Reopening This Friday
Back in May, retail shops were allowed to operate. However, it does not include bubble tea stores. Just officially announced yesterday, Singapore will be moving into Phase 2 starting from 19th June 2020. Although the reopening of bubble tea stores was not officially announced, Education Minister, Ong Ye Kung, stated on his update that bubble tea stores will reopen again on this Friday.
This announcement is definitely a happy one as rules and regulations are slowly loosening up. Apart from the opening of bubble tea stores, social gatherings of five are allowed, and you can dine-in at coffee shops for your favourite street food, too. But, do keep in mind that social distancing must be practiced at all times. Safety always come first.
Opening On 19th June 2020
In the same update, the Education Minister stated that there’s no need to rush to head out once the economy reopens. After all, there might be a possibility that many others will be out as well. With that said, take your time as bubble tea is officially back! So, where will you be going to satisfy your bubble tea cravings? Let us know in the comments!
