Mee Goreng Mamak With Lots Of Potatoes

While it looks relatively simple, this Mee Goreng does take some time to prepare. This is mainly to create the sauce! Unlike normal Mee Goreng, this version is slightly sweeter. Also, you can tell by its bright red colour! The noodles are cooked beforehand to make many plates all at once. The potatoes are diced and boiled and set aside. Once all the ingredients are done, they fry it all in a wok, giving it an almost BBQ quality with the sweet and smoky flavours!

This Mee Goreng Mamak ($2.50) is a delicious blend of two different cuisines! Mee Goreng is a classic Malay dish, added with some Indian spices and cooking techniques and you got yourself something wholly unique! The noodles are cooked to perfection, smoky and sweet as well. There are also chunks of mutton that add savouriness to this dish. But the most important aspect is potatoes! It is fluffy, delicate and seasoned through with the spices! This dish is a must-try for all Mee Goreng lovers.
