Nestled away at Block 235 along Jurong East lies the Bread Gang, located within Aiman Cafe. The halal coffee shop mainly sells a variety of Muslim food like Nasi Padang, fried chicken, Mee Soto, and more. As The Bread Gang’s roti john offers an American twist on it, it’s definitely one of the more unique dishes there! Offering up a plethora of other dishes such as quesadillas, nachos, fries, and salads, it certainly sets them apart from the other stalls around! With an array of tasty dishes to choose from, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

The Roti John Cheeseburger ($8.50) comes stuffed with egg, minced meat, and vegetables such as lettuce, tomato, and cucumber. As the roti john comes already divided into chunks, it’s the perfect dish for sharing with your friends! Drenched in a creamy sauce on the inside, the mayo immediately hits with a pleasant savouriness from the cheese and a kick of spice at the end. Following that is a satisfying mix of textures from the vegetables and last but not least comes the minced beef. Have a bite of everything together and you’ll have a flavour profile of a ramly burger mixed with a beef burger. A really unique dish indeed!

For those who love their spice, be sure to douse your roti john in their chilli sauce! Don’t worry, it’s not your typical store-bought chilli, but more of a Thai chilli sauce that’s seriously delicious! The chilli sauce has hints of fish sauce and a good mix of sweet and spice, giving the roti john even more oomph! Super shiok! One thing to note however is that the creamy sauce tends to overpower the other flavours of the roti john. Nonetheless, it’s still a pretty tasty dish overall and definitely worth a try!
