For most of us Singaporeans, Tenderbest would probably come to mind when we think of Western food. Known for their signature fried chicken, it has probably been one of our go-to’s when we want to indulge ourselves. The popular Halal food chain will be opening the Tenderbest Makcik Tuckshop Cafe concept in September.
Tenderbest Cafe With Drive-Thru & Bicycle Lots
This would be Tenderbest’s third cafe outlet, with two others situated at Jalan Kayu and Woodlands. The third outlet at Punggol is set to open on the first week of September. Its newest outlet will continue the Botanic theme Tuckshop like the two other outlets. However, for the new outlet, there will be a standalone shop with a drive-thru available, allowing customers to order in advance and drive over to pick up their food.
With Punggol being a cyclist-friendly neighbourhood, the cafe will have dedicated bicycle lots right outside, allowing them to get a quick meal or their coffee fix. Additionally, for Muslim guests, there is a musollah for them to perform prayers on the premises.

Tenderbest’s new cafe will still have its usual menu including their signature fried chicken, baked rice, and pasta. For those in groups, there is even a Milo tower available for you guys to indulge in to chill with your friends. The signature fried chicken is served as a two pc set ($7.50), or a family set of nine pcs (from $25.90).
The menu will have new items like Asian fusion pizzas and a brunch menu for the weekends. Some of the new items include the following:
Chicken Meatballs And Potato Salad
Truffle Scrambled Eggs With Turkey Bacon
Smoked Salmon Pesto Pizza
Cat & The Fiddle’s Second Cafe
Other than Tenderbest, the cafe will also house the popular halal-certified cheesecake brand Cat & the Fiddle. This will be Cat & the Fiddle’s second cafe, with their first one located in Woodlands.
Cat & the Fiddle is known for their popular cheesecakes such as their New York, Mao Shan Wang, and Oreo Cheesecake. Besides cheesecakes, the cafe will also be serving soft serves and waffles. What could be better than ending off a good meal with some scrumptious desserts right?
Find Them At Punggol
As mentioned, Tenderbest will open their new cafe in the first week of September but no opening date has been confirmed. Do note the new cafe will not have the MUIS halal certification yet, but Tenderfresh will start the application after the cafe has opened. Hurry down with your friends and family once it’s opened!
