Swatow Wanton Noodle At Bedok 85 Food Centre
Opened since 1970, Swatow offers a wide variety of dishes to enjoy, ranging from their popular Wanton Noodles to Pork Ribs Noodle ($4), Shredded Chicken Hor Fun/Noodle ($4), and Mushroom Chicken Feet Noodles ($4). Open from 6.30am to 8.30pm daily, they are the perfect spot to head to for a hearty breakfast or a comforting meal during the day.
Awesome And Affordable Wanton Noodles
Served at only $4, the Wanton Noodles is served with a generous portion of noodles, slices of char siew, a side of greens, and a bowl of soup with your classic wantons.
The noodles are pleasantly springy and coated well in their sauce, making each slurp a burst of flavour. Elevating it further is the chilli that gives a good kick of heat, with a distinct taste of hae bi that makes the noodles truly unique. There is however a slight alkaline taste to the noodles which might not appeal to some people.
Tender and sweet, the char siew has a slight char with some slices having a nice layer of fats that melt beautifully as you bite into it.
Executed well also, the wantons are plump and have the perfect ratio of skin to filling. The minced pork is well-seasoned, with the chestnuts adding a delightful crunch to elevate each bite. Wash your tasty meal down with some of their soup that is light, flavourful, and peppery.
Overall, Swatow truly serves up a tasty plate of wanton noodles and it’s no surprise to see why they draw snaking queues daily. Hurry down for a taste today!
