Speaking of sticky rice dumplings, it is a must-have during this occasion. According to Google, it is to commemorate the death of Qu Yuan, a famous poet. So, where can you get sticky rice dumplings?
Sticky Rice Dumplings Are Available In Kim Choo
Famous for making sticky rice dumplings, Kim Choo has always been busy when the festival approaches. In fact, pre-orders began weeks before Dragon Boat Festival. After all, Kim Choo is one of the most famous places to get rice sticky dumplings. Netizens have raved about the texture of the rice, and tenderness of the meat. Some even mentioned that their version of sticky rice dumplings is in fact, addictive.
There are a lot of different sticky rice dumplings to choose from! Of course, Kim Choo has the traditional Nyonya Chang available in pork, chicken, and vegetarian. Then, there’s the all-time favourite Salty Chang. It is available in original, salted egg, chilli prawn, and even X.O. Other choices include Cantonese Bean Chang, and Kee Chang. Mini versions are available for selected sticky rice dumplings, too!
Around this time, the prices for sticky rice dumplings will slightly increase, and it will be adjusted to the normal price after the festival. This year, the price will go back to normal on 21st June 2021. Although pre-orders are officially closed, walk-in orders are always welcome. On its official website, Kim Choo has mentioned that customers can walk into their physical stores located at 60 Joo Chiat Place or 111 East Coast Road.
