Hello, friends! We have some good news to share with you regarding Budget 2021.
Singaporeans Are Entitled To $100 Hawker Centre Vouchers & More
As part of Budget 2021, eligible Singaporeans will be entitled to $100 vouchers to be used at hawker centres. Benefiting more than 1.3 million Singaporeans, these vouchers can be used to support hawkers. There will be an additional $200 cash payments, too. Known as the GST Voucher – Cash Special Payment, this is made for lower and middle-income households.
Announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat, this will be paid in June 2021. 1.4 million Singaporeans will be benefiting from this. In addition to this, there are other vouchers to look forward to. They have also introduced the Household Support Package to aid households to go through the economic situation.
Costing around $900 million, the Household Support Package comprises GST Voucher – U Save Special Payment. This allows households to rebate for utilities between $120 to $200 within the same year. It also includes the extension of Service and Conservancy Charges Rebate for another year.
Households with children below the age of 21 will be eligible to receive an additional $200 per child as part of Child Development Account, EduSave Account, or Post-Secondary Education Account.
