Sheng Kee has been serving up their incredible curry chicken noodles for the last 7 years at Berseh Food Centre and remains one of the most popular stalls there to this day.  Simply walk to the front of Sheng Kee’s stall and you will immediately notice the tray of beautifully poached chicken that will have your mouth salivating. Not only that, but you can also pick your cut of chicken to go with your curry noodles.

Served with an incredibly flavourful curry, the Curry Chicken Noodles ($5) has a slight kick of heat to it. Unlike your typical curry noodles, Sheng Kee’s curry is on the lighter side and less creamy. Additionally, it isn’t too oily as well, ensuring you won’t feel jelak even after finishing the entire bowl.

Choose between three types of noodles- thin bee hoon, thick bee hoon, and thick yellow mee, which you can also mix up. The chicken is seriously tender and juicy, absorbing the curry well while still retaining its natural flavour. As for the potato and tau pok, they soak up the gravy beautifully, bursting with curry goodness in each bite.

What makes Sheng Kee stand out from the rest is definitely their homemade sambal chilli, something most curry noodles stalls don’t seem to offer. Made with dried shrimp paste, the sambal adds an incredible layer of umami and spice to the curry, elevating it to another level. It’s the perfect pairing with the curry as it gives it an amazing depth of flavour.
