It has come to our attention that one of Singapore’s notable charity organisation, Food From The Heart, is running low on supplies. While food items are highly appreciated, online cash donations can be made via to maintain safe distancing measures. Food From The Heart has requested aid via their official Facebook. According to their website, some urgently needed food items include:

  • Rice, 1kg or 2kg*
  • Vermicelli/bee hoon*
  • Instant noodles
  • Biscuits, less sugar
  • Malt drinks, less sugar, e.g. Milo
  • Coffee or tea, less sugar*
  • Canned fish/meat*
  • Canned vegetables – especially beans, mushrooms, peas
  • Canned mock meat
  • Canned soup
  • Canned fruit
  • Evaporated/condensed milk*
  • Cooking oil, 500ml or 1L
  • Bread spread

2. The Food Bank Singapore

With the mission to end food insecurity in Singapore, The Food Bank is another well-regarded place for you to consider. The latest post from The Food Bank also describes the number of requests for emergency food has been increasing during the pandemic. Via, you can donate to ensure that families receive adequate nutrition. Here’s a little breakdown of the donation:

  • $25 will enable The Food Bank Singapore to provide one healthy food bundle to a household in need.
  • $50 will ensure a household receives food supply for 2 weeks!
  • $100 will ensure a household receives food supply for a whole month!
  • $200 will provide food aid to two households for a whole month!

3. Free Food For All

Founded by Mr. Nizar Shariff, Free Food For All was established in 2014 with the objective of delivering Halal-certified food and groceries. The charity organisation has been feeding thousands of less fortunate individuals, no matter their race or religion. However, all food items donated must be Halal-certified.   • $10 helps provide dinner for someone living in hunger for five days.
  • $30 helps provide dinner for someone living in hunger for half a month.
  • $60 helps provide dinner for someone living in hunger for a month.
  • $200 allows community groups to sustainably reach out, and provide meals to 5 families once a week, for a month.

4. Society For The Aged Sick

Society for the Aged Sick has been taking care of 400 elderlies every single day. As elderlies require help round the clock, the costs of running a nursing home can be very pricey. According to their website, they will need $100 per resident to operate. Donations of food and even non-powdered gloves are highly appreciated. Services like Redmart, Giant and NTUC provide deliveries to Society For The Aged Sick.

5. Willing Hearts

Situated in Kembangan Chai Chee Community Hub, Willing Hearts is a soup kitchen that operates 365 days a year. It largely depends on food donations to continue serving the underprivileged with meals daily. To meet the demand, Willing Hearts starts its operations as early as five in the morning.
