Good news for Nintendo fans as you no longer need to travel to Japan for their exclusive merch. Nintendo has opened its first pop-up store in Southeast Asia (SEA) at Jewel Changi Airport. The pop-up store will last till 1 Jan 2024 and will feature exclusive merch from popular games like ‘Super Mario’ and ‘Animal Crossing’.
Nintendo Opens First Pop-Up Store In SEA At Jewel
Nintendo fans can let out their inner child with a wide array of merchandise to choose from, including iconic characters like Mario, Yoshi, and Luigi.
Fans can also expect to find cute and durable merch from the popular game ‘Animal Crossing’ as well.
For those who grew up playing the Super Mario games, the iconic mystery block is certainly one to look out for!
Gamers can also enjoy exclusive merch from popular video games like ‘The Legend of Zelda’, ‘Splatoon’ and ‘Pikmin’.
The pop-up store also features Nintendo brand merch like T-shirts, including simple designs from the brand’s logo to characters from the various franchises.
Nintendo Switch essentials like consoles and games including ‘Super Mario Bros. Wonder’, ‘The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’, and ‘Pikmin 4’ will also be available at the pop-up store.
To manage the crowds, store staff will be handing out numbered tickets at the entrance of the store, with each person only receiving one ticket.
Each ticket is given a designated time slot for each customer to browse and purchase items at the store. DO take note, tickets are on a first-come-first-served basis.
Customers without tickets can join a lower-priority queue, where they can enter only when there are available slots.
On top of that, customers who spend $80 or more in a single receipt will receive one of six exclusive postcards, while stocks last!
Special Mario-Themed Event Happening At Jewel
In other news, Jewel Changi Airport will be hosting ‘Pipe Around the World at Jewel’. Lasting till 1 Jan 2024 as well, the Super Mario-themed event will be held at the Shiseido Forest Valley which surrounds the Rain Vortex.
Get your cameras ready and snap some photos next to iconic Super Mario characters at the various photo spots.
Furthermore, there will be a meet-and-greet session with Mario and Luigi from now till Nov 19! Three sessions will be held each day – 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm, at the level two South Gateway Garden. The event also offers an exclusive chance to win special event merch.
