This February, McDonald’s is raising the bar with improved cooking methods and preparation of its iconic beef burgers and we’re lovin’ it! From the iconic Big Mac® to returning crowd favourites – Quarter Pounder® with Cheese and Double Quarter Pounder® with Cheese, the small changes in cooking methods elevate the burgers to make them hotter, juicier, and tastier!
McDonald’s Remasters Their Classic Beef Burgers
1. Glazed, Tender Bun
- Three different bun formulas, uniquely designed for the Big Mac®, Double Cheeseburger, and the Quarter Pounder with Cheese. Their upgraded bun recipe comes with a glaze coating that makes the buns moist, slightly tender, and caramelized for the perfect taste.
2. Juicier Patties
- A 9.4% increase in the gap setting of their flattening grill makes for juicier patties.
3. Caramelised Diced Onions
- About 3.5 grams of onions, slightly caramelized atop sizzling beef patties on the grill, maximizes the rich and savoury flavour of the Big Mac® and Double Cheeseburger patties.
4. Melty Cheese
- Their cheese is thawed to approximately 17.5°C in readiness for that perfect melt when in contact with that hot and juicy beef patty.
5. 50% More Big Mac Sauce
- For Big Mac® Lovers, enjoy a 50% increase in the amount of sauce, giving it a richer and more delicious taste.
Remastered Classics: A Tastier Big Mac® & Double Cheeseburger
The Big Mac® now boasts 50% more sauce for rib-sticking deliciousness. Paired with the new soft, glazed buns, two juicy 100% beef patties, extra melty cheese slices, and caramelized diced onions, this elevated taste is one not to be missed! Taking the classic Double Cheeseburger up a notch, McDonald’s finesses it with two juicy beef patties now grilled with caramelized diced onions. Extra melty cheese slices complete with new soft, glazed buns make this remastered classic burger one for the books! You can indulge in this tasty delight from $4.35 a la carte and from $7.00 for an Extra Value Meal™.
A Delicious Homecoming Remastered: Quarter Pounder® with Cheese
Making a glorious return, the Quarter Pounder® with Cheese is back and here to stay! Sink your teeth into a quarter pound of 100% beef patties layered with juicy onions, tangy pickles and finished with melted cheese slices, for that extra melty goodness. Available in both single and double-patty options, enjoy the Quarter Pounder® with Cheese and the Double Quarter Pounder® with Cheese from $6.30 and $7.90 a la carte and from $8.10 and $9.70 for an Extra Value Meal™.
