Perhaps, this spot does not require any introduction at all. Lau Lim Mee Pok is one of the pioneers at Simpang Bedok before it becomes a food haven. Consistent throughout the years, it has become one of the best spots in Singapore to get mee pok cravings fixed by many locals.
It all starts off with well-tossed flat noodles spheres with minced fishes in a black vinegar and chilli base. Then, it is topped with shiitake mushrooms and blanched pork. Of course, it comes with different toppings such as fresh prawns and handmade fishballs. Let’s not forget about the grand finale – pork lard!
Those who had tried it mentioned that the noodles are springy, meat are soft and tender, and handmade fishballs are absolutely ‘Q’. With that said, do take note that there will be a queue during peak hours. Sometimes, the queue can go up to one hour long.
