Khao Hom is a pretty new restaurant in Ang Mo Kio, having only opened in December 2020. Their recipes originated from the owner’s mum, Rung Mama, a Thai lady who moved to Singapore in the 1980s! For the omelette ($8), it is your typical Thai omelette dish but executed to perfection! The egg is fried to perfection, giving it beautiful crispy edges while still being fluffy in the middle. Every bite is a burst of that amazing egg flavour that keeps you coming back for more! Definitely a good sharing dish to order!

For the Tom Yum Seafood ($12), it is guaranteed to satisfy all you tom yum fans! The soup base takes at least two hours to boil and the fresh herbs used come all the way from Thailand! The soup has a fragrant aroma, with a robust tom yum flavour that’ll make you want more with every sip! For the regular seafood portion, it feeds up to two pax and comes packed with ingredients! Marinated for over 24 hours, every bite gives you a burst of flavours with a pleasant hint of sweetness! Grilled to perfection, the pork is juicy and tender with the charred bits making it reminiscent of bak kwa. Adding a nice touch of crispiness and smokiness, the charred bits definitely makes this dish simply irresistible! A best-seller dish indeed! 

Chunky Crab Meat Omelette Roll

For the Chunky Crab Meat Omelette Roll ($30), it features chunks of jumbo crab meat wrapped in a thick egg roll, almost resembling a burrito! The omelette is pretty thick, giving it a pleasant chewy texture. Additionally,it has a very strong eggy taste with a subtle hint of wok hei.
