Ladled from a steaming hot vat of slurp-worthy gravy and onto the flat yellow noodles, you’ll find a hearty mix of fried Batang fish, pork belly slices, fried juicy meatballs, tender fishcake, and braised egg in your bowl of Traditional Lor Mee ($4 for small, $6 for large).

The perfectly seasoned gravy boasts an aromatic kick that pairs perfectly well with the tender meatballs hidden within the bowl. Vegetarians and non-meat lovers can opt for the Fish Lor Mee ($6 for small, $8 for large) that is high in protein and omega-3 fatty acids for a healthier choice.

For those that stay in the northern region of Singapore, you can choose to head down to either the Yishun or Ang Mo Kio outlet to try the famed Lor Mee. Be sure to go early as there will definitely be snaking queues at the respective hawker centers!
