Old Teochew Opens New Outlet At Tampines
Good news for friends in the East of Singapore, the stall has recently opened a new outlet at Blk 829 Tampines St 81! Affordably priced at $3.50 a bowl, the Mee Siam consists of thin rice noodles that are cooked till soft and mixed with a variety of ingredients including taupok, egg, beansprouts chives, chilli, and tiny shrimps.

The ultimate star of the dish is the sweet-spicy gravy that the noodles swim in. We love the subtle nuttiness that gave the dish a well-rounded and flavourful dimension. A slurp-worthy dish that has a distinctively sour Assam tang, this bowl of Mee Siam definitely lives up to the name and is worth the 20-30 minutes of waiting time.
Here, the Satay Bee Hoon comes in two different portions ($4.50, and $6.50). Generously laden with cockles, Kang Kong, pork liver, lean pork slices, taupok , and cuttlefish in a nutty and smooth textured peanut sauce, this delicious dish is also typically sold out before noon.
