Did you know that in Japan, 青 (ao) is blue, and in China, 青 (qing) is green? The pigment from the blue flower (butterfly pea) is often used in rice dumplings which are popular in Singapore and Malaysia! One highlight of this yellow cocktail is that it turns green when it mixes with the blue Zuisen Seiryu! Meaning “blue dragon”, the awamori used is to show Okinawa’s blue dragon changing into Singapore’s green dragon. The sea salt from Okinawa is lined around the rim of the glass to enhance its taste,as well as changing its acidity to a slightly sweet flavour. Be sure to pay attention to this aesthetically pleasing and delicious cocktail!

Here’s why these ingredients are so unique!
Brown sugar
Okinawa’s brown sugar is harvested from the sugarcane fields in Okinawa. It is considered a healthier alternative to refined white sugar as it is high in calcium, potassium, and iron. Additionally, it is also one of the most nutritious salts, containing high levels of potassium and calcium while being low in sodium!
