According to Business Insider, the staff lounge is made available for everyone including chefs, servers, and cleaners. Apart from getting massages, and watching K-Dramas, it is a place for them to rest, take a shower, and take daily breaks from work. Din Tai Fung is the very first to set up a staff lounge! Normally, staffs rest at the back of the restaurant during breaks.
Business Insider mentioned that the staff lounge will be used by 150 staffs that are working in Paragon Shopping Centre, and Wisma Atria Outlets! They are also planning to open two more outlets by April to accommodate more of their staffs. The current staff lounge is located in Lucky Plaza Apartment, and it will cost SGD 20,000 per month just to maintain it. Wow!
