What started as an April Fool’s joke has become a reality for Cherry Discotheque. Running till the end of the month, you can now head over to the popular nightclub during weekday afternoons for cai fan.
Cherry Discotheque Opens Cai Fan Stall Till April 30
Named “Cherry Kopitian”, the pop-up will run from 11am to 3pm on weekdays. Cherry’s interior, reminiscent of ’90s retro style, seamlessly integrates with the concept of a coffee shop, modernized by the neon light strobes commonly found in nightclubs. At full capacity, the club seats up to 120 people.
What’s On The Menu
Two glass displays will offer a selection of 28 dishes daily, supplied by the economic rice stall at Shiok Shiok Night Market. While the offerings might vary daily, some staple dishes include mala mushroom, squid rings, and braised pork.
Here is a breakdown of the prices:Â
- Vegetables only: from $2
- Meat only: from $3
- Seafood only: from $4
- Vegetables + Meat: from $3.50
- Vegetables + Seafood: from $5
- Vegetables + Meat + Seafood: from $6.50
Cherry typically sets the vibe with a mix of Top 40 hits, EDM, and hip-hop tunes, ensuring a lively atmosphere where you can groove to club beats while enjoying your lunch. However, do note that there won’t be a resident DJ spinning tracks during lunch hours.
Despite being scheduled to operate only until the end of the month, Cherry’s marketing manager, Wong Wee Man, expressed openness to extending its run if the response from customers is positive.
