Looking for activities to do this February? Lucky for you, Changi Chapel & Museum is now having a stunning floral installation of giant poppies till Feb 26! What’s even better, entry to it is completely free!
Giant Floral Installation At Changi Chapel & Museum
Created by local artist, Pei-Per Flower, she specialises in making flowers out of paper and fabric. Not only are these giant poppies a beautiful sight, but they are also symbols of honour and respect for those who have sacrificed themselves in war. Specifically for this installation, however, they are handcrafted in tribute to those who were detained in Changi Prison during the Japanese Occupation.
Spread across Changi Chapel & Museum, the poppies can be found in various forms from standalone floral stalks to floral walls. Ignite your creativity and craft your own DIY felt poppy, write a message to pin to your flower, and attach it to the Chapel’s wall of dedications. Alternatively, you can also take it home to be used as a bookmark or even as a gift to a loved one!
