Unique Burgers At Geylang Serai
Muhammad Iqbal Bin Abdul Razak, better known as, Danny OneStar- started selling his unique brand of burgers from home. His food is as unique as his name, which was inspired by his 16-year-old son named Danny. Due to the circuit breaker, he had to find a way to earn money. And it was then, that he started his burger business! His wife Siti Hafifah had experience selling cakes online, so he decided to follow her lead. Since then they sold 4,000 burgers in 6 months! He had found his calling!
Their ‘Berserak’ burgers are deceptively ordinary. It looks very much like a normal burger, but it is much more than that! ‘Berserak’ translates to messy, which judging by the number of sauces, runny yolk and loose burger meat- this style of burger is aptly named. The style of the burger is reminiscent of a Sloppy Joe, where the meat is not one patty- but loose and covered in sauce! Along with its street food style, Burgers by Danny OneStar has created something completely new!
Amazingly Saucey Burgers
Their famous ‘Old Skool’ burger ($10.00) is the best example of their ‘Berserak’ burgers. It features succulent, loosely-packed beef- seasoned heavily with paprika, cumin and his secret blend of spices. The meat is then placed gently onto a bed of lettuce and mayo. It is then doused in their cheese and chilli sauces and topped with a sunny side up egg! This dish is packed with a ridiculous amount of flavour!
Another classic of theirs is the Chix Cutlet Burger ($8.00). It features all the same sauces, and buns with only one major difference- chicken! It includes a juicy and tender chicken cutlet which is coated in a crunchy and savoury crust! Also, it comes with crisp and fluffy french fries that are topped with their signature cheese sauce! Truly an amazing dish also packed with flavour!
